Health and Wellness
Psalm 30:2 “Oh Lord my God, I cried to you for help, and you healed me.”
How We Serve
Jesus cares about every detail of our lives, and we reflect that as we serve people in Kenya through our five ministry pillars. Health and wellness is a major concern in the communities we serve, and many people do not have access to proper healthcare. When a person is struggling in one area of health, it can affect every part of life. Simba holds medical clinics for the local communities we serve, and our prayer is that each person experiences the love of Jesus in a deep and personal way through His healing power.
To support health and wellness, we send medical and prayer teams once, and sometimes twice, each year. These teams include nurses, medical doctors, chiropractors, dentists, ophthalmologists, students in those fields, and non-medical personnel. Our medical teams provide free healthcare and pray over the individuals they serve. We work alongside Kenyan nurses, doctors, and pharmacists who help prescribe and administer medication. County governments in Kenya make this possible by approving and supporting our medical teams.
Each team also hosts a clinic at our school, providing annual checkups for all the children. We have seen many different cases, including malaria, AIDS, scabies, ulcers, malnutrition, breast cancer, brain tumors, cataracts, urinary tract infections, spinal and extremity misalignments, high blood pressure, diabetes, and various wounds. When we are unable to provide direct treatment, patients are prayed over and referred to the nearest hospital. We know that the Lord is the ultimate physician and healer. We have seen people healed in Jesus’ name, and we will continue to show the loving touch of Jesus.
