Widows

Many children in our sponsorship program come from single-parent households. A spouse may have left or passed away due to illness, leaving a widow to care for many children. In many cases, these families live in poverty because they do not have stable income.

Simba works with widows to teach new skills and help them create sustainable income. In some cases, we also provide support for education, food, and school fees so families can remain together and children can stay in school.

Orphans

Because many parents have passed away from HIV or have left their children with relatives, many of the children we serve come from widowed or orphaned homes. The community does its best to help these children, but Simba is often called upon when children are not in school or are not being properly cared for.

We work with schools, families, and local leaders to identify children who are most vulnerable. Through sponsorship, discipleship, and practical support, the ministry provides education and support. We are working to strengthen families and help these children find a place they can truly call home.
